The WWE has recently announced that Saudi Arabia will play host to the first ever international WrestleMania in 2027. However, the Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium will be the home to WrestleMania 42 (2026) before the professional wrestling world switches its focus to the Middle East.
WWE’s biggest event of the year will return to Vegas, after WrestleMania 41 also took place in Sin City in April. North America has brought WrestleMania to the masses since 1985 – with only two events taking place outside of the U.S. – both in Toronto in 1990 and 2002.
Many pundits and fans believe a switch to the Middle East could spark a trend of the WWE’s flagship event being hosted outside of North America for the foreseeable future. So this announcement will mean many diehard WWE US fans won’t want to miss next year’s event – resulting in an inevitable clamor for hotel rooms throughout Sin City.
Gambling.com conducted research on the hotel prices of Las Vegas Strip hotels at the time of WrestleMania 42 (Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026). Using data from hotel website Trivago, we decided to find out what percentage of hotels are already over $200 per night, and how this compares to other time periods.
WrestleMania’s Saudi Move Could Trigger Vegas Boom
According to our research, 75% of available Las Vegas Strip hotels at the time of WrestleMania 42 are already over $200 per night.
Las Vegas Strip hotels will clearly want to benefit from the financial advantage of Las Vegas hosting WrestleMania before it travels to Saudi, but they will also need to make it affordable for tourists travelling from around the world. Vegas has been struggling with just under 3.1 million tourists visiting the city in June 2025, marking an 11% drop compared to the same month in 2024.
The most expensive hotel is the Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino which will cost you an eye-watering $11,426 per night. Other highly sought after hotels sit at the top of the hotel price range – The Signature at MGM Grand will cost $1,421 per night and the Venetian will cost you $899 per night.
It is expected that hotels will want to take advantage of an influx of tourists. This is evident with the fact that a month (March 14-15 2026) before WrestleMania 42 rolls into town only 67% of available Las Vegas Strip hotels are over $200 per night. This clear increase in hotel room prices will undoubtedly accelerate as we get closer to the event.
