Immense Group’s online casino brand Mega Riches treated football fans to memorable experiences as part of its support for the West Bromwich Albion Foundation.
As the Championship club’s official back-of-shirt sponsor, the Immense Group brand provided a series of premium matchday hospitality packages to the people doing the real work within The Albion Foundation, the club’s official charity partner.
Foundation volunteers, charity fundraisers and community lottery winners were given an evening at The Hawthorns that they would not otherwise have had.
The packages placed beneficiaries in the Richardson Suite across multiple fixtures. Among them was a long-serving Foundation volunteer celebrating her 70th birthday with her son. Another was a supporter whose attendance at Foundation Day helped raise £1,127 for the Cancer Kickers programme, which supports patients and survivors through physical activity during and after treatment. The group also included winners of the Foundation’s own Baggies Bonanza and darts evening fundraisers.
Among those winners was Albion fan Ellie, who claimed the bonus prize at the Hull City Foundation Day fixture in March and later attended the Albion vs Millwall match as Mega Riches’ guest.
She said: “Our time in The Richardson Suite was fab. The staff and service were impeccable.
“We thoroughly enjoyed the food and complimentary drinks, as well as the Q&A session with the WBA legends. I would really recommend anyone wanting a more VIP experience at Albion to give it a try.”
Baggies Bonanza, launched this season, gives supporters the chance to win a cash prize while supporting a great cause. Proceeds are split equally between the winner and The Albion Foundation, with tickets available online and on matchdays at The Hawthorns. This season, winners have collectively taken home almost £8,500, with the same amount raised to support the Foundation’s work.
The Cancer Kickers programme, spotlighted on Foundation Day in March, operates across Sandwell and the wider West Midlands, working with NHS Trusts, Prostate Cancer UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. The Hawthorns Hub, which runs every Wednesday, brings isolated local residents together for company, conversation and connection. These are the programmes the partnership was built to support.
Marco Trucco, CMO of Immense Group, said: “Football reaches into communities in a way very few things do. When we looked at how we wanted to build our relationship with West Bromwich Albion, brand visibility was never going to be enough on its own.
“The work the Albion Foundation does, for cancer patients, for volunteers, for people who might otherwise be isolated, that’s the kind of purpose we want our brands to support. Mega Riches made that happen this season. Immense Group intends to keep making it happen.”
The Albion Foundation has delivered community programmes across Sandwell for over two decades, spanning health, education and social inclusion, reaching people who would otherwise have no route into the club or the sport.
For Immense Group, the focus now is on consistent support that stays close to the communities it serves, not just the moments that make headlines.
