Cricket Enthusiast, a new AI-built, fan-first cricket platform offering real-time analysis, a free-to-play Pick ’Em game and cricket odds comparison, has launched, featuring an AI content engine designed to check output against compliance rulesets in regulated markets.
The platform covers the Indian Premier League, The Hundred, T20 Blast, and the upcoming European T20 Premier League (ETPL). Fans get live scores and fixtures, team and player insights, and the latest cricket news. Its free-to-play prediction game, currently running for The Hundred, features match picks, player challenges, and a leaderboard encouraging ongoing participation and social sharing. The platform also offers odds comparison and educational content for fans new to cricket.
The launch coincides with the busiest window of the European cricket calendar, with the ETPL making its debut at the end of August.
Built for challenger operators
Beyond its fan-facing offering, Cricket Enthusiast operates as a live testing ground for AI-created compliant content and audience engagement. With every capability covered from odds, to game builds, AI agents to social media posts, challenge operators can now use these tools to enter new sports and markets without a full in-house build.
WiseWager, the consultancy behind the platform’s development, built Cricket Enthusiast as an environment to create, test, refine and validate AI-driven workflows for the B2B igaming industry.
For a challenger operator client, different approaches have already been tried and tested for Cricket Enthusiast as part of a live, regulated environment, allowing them to use evidence and data to inform their next development focus. As no information is inferred from another sport or game, another format, or tested environment, WiseWager’s client recommendations are based on proven outcomes in the Cricket Enthusiast platform.
Through WiseWager’s consulting services, operators can leverage the results of tests on Cricket Enthusiast’s live environment to reduce implementation risk and accelerate delivery. The platform also enables WiseWager to test and optimise these developments across different regulated markets before deployment, allowing its clients to go-to-market at scale faster.
A live testing ground for AI and compliance
For operators in regulated markets, AI-generated content creates a specific problem: the more it produces, the harder it is to guarantee every post meets local advertising standards. A missed disclaimer or prohibited link can be flagged to regulators. The usual answer to this is to add a manual review layer, which slows production down and adds cost.
Cricket Enthusiast’s proprietary content engine and workflows are built to reduce that burden. Compliance guardrails are applied at the point of generation, not bolted on afterwards. The engine keeps the site and its Pick ‘Em game current with live cricket data, then reuses that same context to produce social media posts and supporting videos. A post grader checks every output against advertising standards requirements, then queues it for a final human check ahead of publication. The post grader also reviews the tone for brand consistency, separating the system from generic AI content tools.
The platform itself was built using an AI agent, which helped create the site, the Pick ‘Em game, and the team and player content. The same system and workflows are used to build new features, pages and games as the platform expands.
This results in significant gains in speed and efficiency. In the pilot stage of development, the AI agent produced a full prediction game for a new cricket league, ready for human review and live within four hours. The same work usually takes a conventional development team weeks to build.
The testing-ground model is aimed at growth-focused operators looking to accelerate AI adoption without the cost, risk and complexity of developing and validating new capabilities from scratch. Cricket Enthusiast demonstrates what a lean AI-first approach can achieve: the entire platform was built and is maintained by a single person, making the model commercially realistic for challenger operators.
Cricket Enthusiast has been built by Rohini Sardana, who brings together more than 20 years of product, technology, and commercial experience in regulated iGaming and betting sectors.
Why cricket?
Cricket draws one of the largest global audiences in sport, yet betting engagement lags well behind other sports like football. Sardana built the platform to understand that gap in the market and establish what it takes to engage cricket audiences globally across different regulated environments.
Cricket’s fastest audience growth is coming from established sports betting markets, notably the United States and parts of Europe. Major League Cricket is building a new US audience ahead of cricket’s inclusion in the LA 2028 Olympics, while the ETPL launches in Europe this month. To capture this untapped market, challenger operators can leverage WiseWager’s audience insights and strategic expertise to successfully position cricket as a key growth engine in the coming years.
Founder of Cricket Enthusiast, Rohini Sardana, said: “Cricket has a global audience to rival any sport, but betting engagement hasn’t followed. For operators, that represents a significant opportunity, and one that needs the right content infrastructure to reach it compliantly. I created Cricket Enthusiast as a live environment to test how AI can help do exactly that. Those practical learnings don’t just benefit the platform; they also help shape the strategies WiseWager’s partner operators use to enter new markets with confidence and at scale.”
